Second semester suggests moderate optimism

The electronics and household appliances sector has been experiencing a persistent wave of shrinking sales since last September. However, it is possible that the second half of this year represents a moment of renewed hope in this scenario. Traditionally, this is a period when our results show better performances.
Although macroeconomic indicators are quite challenging, with the exchange rate much higher than desirable, along with very high inflation and interest rates, some opportunities in sight allow us to have a certain optimism, even if moderate.
An extraordinary factor, which adds to the contribution of Black Friday and Christmas, is the World Cup being held out of season, in Qatar. The World Cup has a history of stimulating sales of brown goods, and we expect that this year it will also have positive effects in other sectors.
Another factor that raises our optimism is the possibility of counting on part of the resources injected into the economy as from PEC 15/22, which will economically benefit the low-income population and some professional categories.
This set of positive variables may give us an important boost to turn the tables and seek new perspectives for a not too distant future. In this sense, we are confident that the electro-electronic and home appliance industry can once again make a difference for the Brazilian economy.
