Suframa is vigilant regarding to the new frontiers of medium- and long-term development in Amazon

In July, Suframa held the event that aims to formalize its adherence to the Brazil 2040 Scenarios project and the first formal activities in the context of Amazônia 2040: prospective scenarios and strategic agenda for development, which is coordinated by it. Its objective was to identify development potentialities that generate employment and income and medium and long term, reduce dependence on tax incentives of the Manaus Free Trade Zone incentives of the Manaus Free Trade Zone (MFTZ) model,
It was an opportunity for Suframa and the partners involved in the initiative to carry out initial studies aimed at developing prospective scenarios and defining a strategic agenda with guidelines for socio-economic advances in the region until 2040. The idea is for this agenda to be defined by December 2022 to be submitted to the Suframa Administrative Council (CAS) for consideration and approval.
The vision of the future is also present in institutional projects which seek to educate and raise awareness in the regional society, including young students and university students, about the importance of the MFZ model, the reality of the factories in the and professional opportunities.
Among the projects are the Zona Franca de Portas Abertas, which in the first semester organized seven technical visits to companies and entities linked to the PIM PIM, and Suframa in Schools, in partnership with the State Secretariat for Education and Education and Sports (Seduc/AM). Until next November, 10 lectures on the history and importance of the Manaus Free Trade Zone for at least 400 students from schools in the capital of Amazonas.
