Electro-electronic waste disposal at the correct reception point

The amount of electro-electronic waste produced in Brazil increases year by year and, unfortunately, recycling does not keep pace with it. Most of the post-consumption products are discarded by the population in an inappropriate way and when they are recycled, it is usually because they were collected by informal collectors, people who collect these appliances and electronics in open-air dumps to extract from them materials that can be sold.
Contrary to what many people think, this is not the best solution, since this waste can contain toxic substances such as heavy metals, oils and gases, among others that, when handled without proper care, can cause damage to health and soil, air and water contamination, impacting entire ecosystems.
ABREE is a management entity that acts through several partners prepared to receive these products at the end of their useful life and give them the correct destination. All materials will receive proper treatment before being discarded, and some inputs can be reintroduced in production cycles for new products, contributing to a reduction in the consumption of raw materials.
In this process, the most important role is that of the citizen, who must take the post-consumption products to an ABREE collection point, thus contributing to preserve the environment and the health of future generations
