From June 23 to 26, the Anhembi District gathers the entire electric mobility chain: automakers and importers of cars and commercial vehicles, suppliers, EV charging station manufacturers, dealerships, rental companies, real estate developers, shopping center managers, airports, retail chains, corporate fleet managers, investors, government representatives, specialized media, and the general public interested in discovering the latest in electric mobility.
A unique opportunity for the sector
Ricardo Bastos, GWM director and president of the Brazilian Association of Electric Vehicles (ABVE), a supporter of Eletrocar Show, sees the fair as an excellent opportunity for industry players to present their innovations.
“Eletrocar Show begins this year already being one of the most important events for presenting automotive technology in Brazil. It is a unique opportunity for automakers, equipment manufacturers, and other companies involved in electrification to participate and showcase their products,” says the executive.
Ricardo celebrates the consolidation of electrified vehicles in Brazil. “We have reached a point in the evolution of electromobility in the country where consumers can already choose the most suitable technology for their profile. The variety of options offers what people need, according to their lifestyle.”
Lack of awareness
The president of the Brazilian Association of Automotive Vehicle Importers and Manufacturers (ABEIFA), Marcelo Godoy, is concerned about the lack of public knowledge regarding electric cars, which leads consumers to make wrong decisions influenced by influencers and media figures who oppose the technology.Marcelo believes the sector must take steps to educate consumers about electric mobility.

“Eletrocar Show begins this year already being one of the most important events for presenting automotive technology in Brazil. It is a unique opportunity for automakers, equipment manufacturers, and other companies involved in electrification to present their products.”

Battery lasts 20 years
One of the myths spread by opponents of electric cars is the supposed short lifespan of the batteries. Since automakers offer warranties of around eight years, this makes consumers think that this is the battery’s lifespan.
However, according to the ABVE president, batteries last around 20 years—more than double the factory warranty—bringing peace of mind even to used car buyers.
Additionally, Ricardo Bastos reminds us that after this period, the equipment still has resale value, as it can be reused in stationary applications, such as charging stations powered by solar energy.
Exhibitors
GWM is the main automaker at the exhibition, presenting its electric and hybrid vehicles, which can even be tested by visitors in the test-drive area. Also participating are Yala, a manufacturer of electric motorcycles for urban mobility, and Farizon, with its cargo vehicles. In the charging infrastructure area, the highlight is WEG, a major Brazilian multinational with a wide portfolio of AC and DC chargers.
Here are some of the companies at Eletrocar Show:
On-Charge – Startup that develops smart charging solutions for the national market.
Zeta Uno – Manufacturer of fast chargers produced in Rio Grande do Sul. Riseon and Teison – International players supplying charging stations for fleets and home use. Autarcia – Specializes in thermal blankets and battery safety for electric vehicles. Celink, DB5, Tianying, Lvju, Karstsolar, Coletek, and Kamai – Active in areas such as components, batteries, solar energy, and OEM solutions for electromobility.
