GREAT PROSPECTS FOR ZFM IN 2024
With the political, economic, and administrative actions carried out in 2023, which opened the doors to strengthening our regional development model, the Manaus Free Trade Zone (ZFM) begins the year 2024 with excellent perspectives.
In the context of tax reform, ZFM faced the challenge of preserving its benefits in the face of the proposal to simplify and unify federal, state, and municipal taxes. After negotiations and agreements, the text promulgated by the National Congress maintained the competitive advantages of this tax exception model.
If ZFM’s competitive advantages are maintained, the expectation is that new businesses and investments in the region will be made viable in the short and medium term, also leveraged by the good moment in the country’s economic situation. The expansion of GDP above projections in 2023, the downward trajectory of the inflation index and the gradual and constant reduction of the basic interest rate are factors that stimulate productive investments and family consumption and tend to have a positive impact on the production and revenue of companies in the Industrial Pole of Manaus.
From an institutional point of view, Suframa works tirelessly to make the business environment at ZFM more favorable and dynamic. It implemented several measures to improve its services and, above all, get closer to investors, students, researchers, and public managers who, directly or indirectly, contribute to the economic dynamics of the Manaus Industrial Pole.
In this auspicious environment, 2024 is shaping up to be a year of great achievements for the manufacturing industry installed in Manaus and for the entire economy of our region.
