Giving a television as a gift on Mother’s Day is a way to show affection and care, says Bernardo Cunha Pontes, executive director of the AIWA brand. “Choosing a smart TV for the occasion will provide moments of family entertainment. Faced with a more demanding market, models with high-definition images and sound quality stand out. For the date, we expect sales growth of over 10% compared to 2024.”
The integration of the internet and streaming content into the smart TV interface offers the best entertainment. The trend towards devices that deliver more technology, and innovation indicates that the date will be positive for sales in the category.

The gift is promising, the TV is the entertainment center of the home, says Alexandre Gleb, TV product manager at Samsung Brazil. “It is a way to bring the family together, something that every mother values. The trend for larger screen models, 65” and above, plus the demand for innovation, can elevate the entertainment experience with a variety of powerful AI-based solutions.”
The integration of the internet and streaming content into the smart TV interface offers the best entertainment, says Nikolas Corbacho, product manager at TCL SEMP. “With the advancement of technology, larger TVs require less distance from the screen, provide better viewing angles, and better contrast and color reproduction. We expect the demand for premium TVs, especially models 65” and above, to increase.”
Technology and connection
The combination of technology, entertainment and moments of family connection makes the TV an excellent choice, says Diego Oliveira, TV product manager at LG do Brasil. “Imagine the joy of a mother watching her favorite movie in cinema quality and in the comfort of her own home. We see a trend of greater appreciation for products that deliver technology, and everything indicates that this will be another positive period for the category.”

Mother’s Day is also an opportunity to boost the market, says Amanda Urzum, commercial director at Philco. “It is the second biggest date for TV sales of the year, second only to Black Friday. With new models arriving, bringing technologies and innovations, we hope to exceed expectations and achieve significant growth in sales.”
A significant increase in TV sales is expects says Bruno Morari, marketing and product director for the Grupo TPV (Philips and AOC brands). “The growth will be driven by high demand and promotions typical of the date. The constant evolution of models tends to attract consumers who want to give modern gifts. All of this contributes to the forecast of higher sales than those recorded in other periods.”
Last year, the television category saw a 5% increase in sales volume compared to the previous year, according to data from NIQ T&D/GfK.
Stimulated by the search for increasingly sophisticated entertainment experiences at home, the category continues to grow, says Iris Ramada, head of marketing at Bel Micro. “With the growth of streaming services and access to technology, we have seen a considerable increase in new product purchases. We expect sales on Mother’s Day to exceed those of the previous year.”
